Warehouse 109 – Chicago Suburbs Wedding | Lauren + Amy

Where do I even begin to start with this gorgeous Warehouse 109 wedding. This was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever shot and I feel so blessed I got to be a part of.

I went to High School with Lauren and re-connected last year when she was on the hunt for a wedding photographer. Through their engagement photo session, check ins for the wedding, and sliding into each others’ Instagram DM’s, I’ve gotten to know Lauren and Amy and their beautiful relationship a bit better.

These ladies are as real and genuine as it gets. Lauren is full of life and puts a smile on the face of everyone she meets. Amy is patient, fierce and just makes you feel warm whenever you’re around her. The two together are the true definition of what a respectful, deep, and passionate love looks like-their Warehouse 109 wedding was the perfect reflection of that.

It started in Orland Park at Lauren’s Mom’s house where the girls got ready together, enjoying their morning filled with coffee, laughs with their bridesmaids, and of course, their pup Charles. When it was time to get dressed, the two separated upstairs, and did a grand first look on the staircase (always a favorite of mine). I teared up behind my camera as these two simply beamed at each other. There was so much beauty filling the room.

We headed to Warehouse 109 for a first look with Lauren’s brothers and step dad and Amy’s dad. It was so heartwarming and there were deffinitely a few tears shed. We spend time around one of the coolest Chicago suburb wedding venues I’ve ever seen for bridal portraits. Seriously, this might be a new favorite of mine. An intimate wedding venue, with rich wooden beams, string lights everywhere you look, and a wall of motorcycles! I should mention that Lauren and Amy have impeccable taste. When I did their in-home engagement session last October, I wanted to move in. So, I am sure you can imagine that for their wedding, no detail was left unnoticed.

Lauren and Amy were married in a newer addition of Warehouse 109, the Ceremony Garden. This breathtaking, intimate space is lush with greenery, brushed metal gates and dividers , and a wooden platform. It lends as a perfect, clean space to exchange vows and partake in a non-traditional ceremony (my favorite kind of ceremony!).

Their modern Warehouse 109 wedding had a splash of a boho chic theme and was adorned with gray, green and pop of gold. Each table place was perfectly aligned with chic black silverware, environmentally friendly bamboo dinnerware, gold scripted table numbers and gold candlesticks and votives. A simple but beautiful menu sat at each plate, and my favorite – a sprig of rosemary which not only looked lovely, but smelled divine. A couple after my own heart – they served wood fired pizzas from Wooden Paddle Pizza. And the only tragedy of the night was when their stunning cake from Tony Patisserie Hinsdale had to be cut into to serve.

They laughed, they danced, they were wrapped in love and sweet words from their families, and there wasn’t an individual in the venue that wasn’t beaming from ear to ear as they celebrated this wonderful couple.

This is one wedding I will never, ever forget, and one couple who will always hold a special place in my heart. Congratulations Lauren & Amy!
