This Garfield Park Conservatory proposal was just absolutely gorgeous! If you’re reading this and you’ve read any of my other blog posts, like this one, or this one, or this one, you might be asking, Meg, what the heck is with you and the Garfield Park Conservatory? Well friends, it’s a love affair like I can’t explain and the more I shoot there, the more I feel like I get asked to shoot there and I’m not mad about it one bit. My favorite part is no two shoots are ever the same. Each visit brings about new greenery and life to explore and new couples that bring their own uniqueness to the Chicago landmark.

Emmanuel and Edlyn were visiting from California for the long 4th of July weekend and Emmanuel thought it would be the perfect trip to pop the big question. He reached out to me a few weeks ago and we started plotting the grand Chicago proposal. He was interested in the Garfield Park Conservatory and I (of course) said heck yes (because it’s literally my favorite place to shoot!).

Edlyn had no idea it was coming and I could see from across the room the excitement and thrill in her eyes. Emmanuel had nothing but love and joy in his. The two were just giddy with excitement and it was so unbelievably rewarding the get to be a part of it!

We spent time walking around each room and capturing the special day. I have a feeling this is one trip to Chicago both of these wonderful humans will never forget!
