It feels like I just blogged Sarah and Will’s engagement session—because I did! But these two have been together almost four years and knew they wanted a short engagement period. They were simply ecstatic to tie the knot. When you’re ready, you’re ready! And these two were more than eager to celebrate their love story in the making. I can’t think of a more fitting Chicago venue than the Glen View Club for their bright, love-filled summer wedding.

From the Couple

The Big Day

Sarah and Will both come from big, loving families, so it was sure to be a joy-filled wedding. In addition to the sacrament of marriage at the church that means so much to them, they were most looking forward to the dance floor and live band (remember, music aficionados). When their big day arrived, it was all of that and more!

We started with a little good luck rain in the morning, followed by one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever had the joy of being a part of. And I shouldn’t have been surprised because it featured one of the most beautiful couples I’ve ever worked with.

The Wedding Aesthetic

I’m simply speechless—you just have to see it for yourself. Everything about Sarah and Will’s wedding day was elegant and chic, yet warm and inviting. They found a way to infuse so much style and beauty without compromising their people-first priorities. It felt like one incredible family gathering, and the love bursting from The Glen View Club for Sarah and Will was palpable. I couldn’t think of a couple more deserving to be surrounded by such a loving, supportive crew.

A Little About The Venue | The Glen View Club

Glen View Club is just 15 miles north of the city in scenic Golf, Illinois. As you might imagine, the country club is nestled along the gorgeous green fairway. As one of the oldest Chicago clubs, you can find rich history in every nook and cranny, including the charming Scottish Tudor Clubhouse, which you’ll see in Sarah and Will’s portraits. The golf course and club grounds paint a stunning backdrop for couple’s portraits and allow plenty of room for your guests to spread out and enjoy the fresh air. We had a blast doing some of their wedding party and family portraits out there, even during the warmest part of the day. The trees provide plenty of shade and scenery.

Sarah and Will were married in the church, which was a huge priority for them. However, Glen View Club also has several ceremony options available outdoors and in if you prefer to host the entire event on-site. The exclusive club is picture-perfect and more than accommodating to ensure your wedding day is everything you envisioned and more.

Chicago Country Club Weddings

Of course, the golf course and gardens are beautiful, but the banquet hall is equally infused with charm. The high ceilings, wooden-beam arches, and walls of windows make it feel open and spacious, while the glow from the candelabra chandelier adds an extra dose of warmth and romance. The ambiance is perfect for an intimate celebration while providing plenty of space for large guest counts.
