The only thing bluer than Lake Michigan was Hope’s piercing eyes. And the only thing more beautiful than the skyline on our perfect Chicago summer night, was the genuine love between Hope + Daniel. From the minute I met these two, I knew we were going to have a good time. Well, if I’m being honest, from the moment I found out they wanted to include their pups Hops and Barley (I mean, can you even?), I knew we were going to get along just fine!
When I think of Hope and Daniel, I think of the quote “Anyone can be passionate, but it takes true lovers to be silly“. These two know how to have a good time, and aren’t afraid to show it. The silliness they brought to our session helped me genuinely capture them having the time of their lives in each frame. They both met in the restaurant industry in San Francisco and recently moved to Chicago – you can tell they are both fully embracing this wonderful city!
I love when couples fully embrace the experience, when they trust my goofy prompts, let down their walls, and just go with it. And that is exactly what Hope and Daniel did! We had chest hair flowing at one point, and Daniel even requested we re-enact the George Costanza (if you know, you know). To which, I of course, said, a b s o l u t l e l y. Daniel had Hope (and me) laughing the entire session. These two definitely don’t take life too seriously and it was so refreshing to see, and a great reminder.
p.s.
Barley and Hops were just as adorable as their names suggest.
