West Loop Engagement Session – Chelsea + Drew

Chelsea and Drew had me at “antique store” – which is where these two are getting married next August. I had a feeling we were going to be a good fit when I walked into Chelsea and Drew’s condo to meet for the first time and Chelsea greeted me with an impressive charcuterie tray (will work for cheese).  Chelsea, Drew and I, spent the evening chatting about DIY projects (y’all should see the custom closets he built this woman!) and all the fun and so unbelievably original ideas they have for their wedding. One of the biggest things I love about Chelsea and Drew is their laid back and unique personalities, and how they compliment each other perfectly. How lucky am I that Olivia from Olive Fine Weddings connected us ✨

We spent the perfect Saturday morning getting lost in the West Loop. Drew and Chelsea wanted a special feel to their photos, a vintage and urban look, and the West Loop was just the spot for that. We started at Green Street Smoked Meats  where we had the entire hidden patio to ourselves. And then we kept finding hidden little corridors and graffiti walls. Our session reminded me of why I love Chicago so much, you can walk within a 1 block radius and find beauty and art on every corner.

We wrapped up the session with one of my new favorite walls in Chicago (you guys have these right? favorite walls?) right outside of Eden, a perfect find by Chelsea. We danced, we played, and Drew and Chelsea brought their a-game, let me tell ya. I love when my couples feel like old friends and our sessions, more like catch ups. I can’t wait to “catch up” with you two, and watch you say I do in 2019!
