A Sunny Spring Chicago Engagement Session

Rain rain, go away, we want to have our engagement session today. This has been quite a theme lately…and my couples have been so flexible with re-scheduling, umbrella-ing, and going with the flow! After chatting about our options and coming up with a plan, Natalie and I both did our best sunshine dances for their Chicago engagement session…and they worked! We had a gorgeous Friday morning to capture these two in their element.

This wonderful couple, in from San Francisco for the weekend, met me downtown at Lurie Garden – what used to be their “backyard“.  Living in Chicago in a high rise just a few blocks away, the couple loved to take strolls along the garden.  There are so many darling hidden nooks and perfect spots in the sunshine to sit and read, chat about life, or even sneak a bottle of wine to. After some big hugs, we got to work.

That Smile

Natalie and Ed. I almost feel like I don’t even need to share their story, because Natalie’s smile just says it all. Their relationship is warm, cozy and bursting with love.  They seemed to flow right back into their old stride and the pictures show how at ease and at home they felt. It was a breathtaking engagement session.

I look at these photos and can feel just how happy these two are to have found each other. I cannot wait to see the smiles on them this August for their wedding day at the The University of Chicago Bond Chapel and Loft on Lake.
