The Warmest Welcome I’ve Ever Received

I walked into Stephanie and Garth’s beautiful Chicago home and was instantly greeted by sloppy kisses, tails wagging, and so.much.excitement…from their 3 pups 😍 .  I knew that I would be including some four legged friends into this intimate in-home session, but I had no clue it would be 3 sweet, energetic and beautiful doggos (dreams do come true). It’s no secret now that I’m a crazy dog lady and get so excited when my clients include their pups! After a little small talk and a quick home tour we started the session.

A Beautiful Home with a Beautiful Couple

Stephanie’s smile could light up any room. Seriously. It was infectious, and only grew the closer she got to her hubby, Garth. Both were a bit nervous going into the session, but naturals about 5 minutes in. Their beautiful home as our background was such a treat to shoot in and made for the perfect setting.  The daylight was streaming through the windows, this dream team nailed their outfits, and I swear even the dogs couldn’t stop smiling.  Everyone felt comfortable and at ease in their familiar routine, including the pups.

It is my absolute favorite thing in the world when couples include their four legged friends (I’m totally down to clown with cats too!) in their sessions.  Getting to play on the floor with your pets and interact with your significant other seems to take some of that “oh my god we’re getting our photo taken” pressure that some clients feel. Instead of having a camera in their face, they are just at home goofing around with their furry friend, and the images reflect that 100%.

Along with creating some beautiful memories of this stage in life, these photos will be used for a pretty special book for Stephanie and Garth.  And hopefully the next season they capture, will include a not so furry 6th family member ✨
