The Proposal I had the pleasure of meeting Molly and Ryan last summer when I captured Ryan’s sunrise proposal at North Avenue Beach. It was a show stopper to say the least and a day I will never forget (you can check out a recap of that session here!). After such a fun morning together, […]
Engagement photos are hands down my absolute favorite thing to shoot (besides dogs, I’m sorry but dogs always win). I love the giddiness and excitement and getting to learn about a couple’s love story and their quirks between each other. I love watching couples go from nervous to feeling like they’re on the best date they’ve had in months.
Engagement sessions can also be a bit overwhelming to some so I put together a list of “5 Things to Consider When Planning Your Engagement Session” to help ease some of that stress!
A beautiful stroll along the flowers at the Lincoln Park Conservatory followed by a rainy rooftop play session with these Notre Dame grads was the perfect combo for this intimate engagement session.
If you are anything like I was before my own engagement session – you bought 3 different outfits, stressed over new shoes being delivered in time, and were a hot mess when it came to what to wear. No – not you, well fantastic and good for you! I often feel like my clients worry about what to wear to their session. I knew that I would be including some four legged friends into this intimate in-home session, but I had no clue it would be 3 sweet, energetic and beautiful doggos (dreams to come true). After a little small talk and a quick home tour we started the session.
Just imagine, you’re stripped down to your skivvies, jumping on a bed, rocking out to Shania, or Brittney, or hell Drake if that lights ya up. Your nerves are nowhere to be found. Your hair is flipping, your smile is radiating, and all you can think in that moment is “why the hell didn’t I do this sooner?”
A Snowy Chicago This is the only request I received from Jake and Kendal – they wanted snow. Jake reached out to me back in October looking for engagement photos and the one thing he stressed was how important having a snowy engagement session was to these two. With a late July wedding in Texas, […]
The Meet Cute I’m talking about Sharris and me, not Eddie and Sharris 😂 Sharris and I connected for a gorgeous boho // indie bridal tea party styled shoot in May. The girl is witty, funny, and has just the right amount of sass. Besides the incredible shoot she put together, I instantly felt a connection with […]
