Is there anything more fun than graffiti hunting in the West Loop of Chicago? There is. It’s doing it with one heck of an amazing couple. I recently met up with Amanda and Casey and explored around the West Loop for their engagement session.
Back in February, I met these Ladies at the West Loop Wedding Walk at the Lakewood. Amanda was wearing a Lakeshore Lacrosse jacket and I immediately struck up a conversation since I used to play in their adult league. Turns out, she’s their fearless leader and badass CEO. #laxforlife am I right?
Amanda and Casey met while coaching lacrosse together at UC-Davis. What started as a friendship turned into a relationship five years later, and it is so clear to see how these two ended up together. They’re both simply full of vim and vigor – ready for deep belly laughs and unplanned adventures. It seemed fitting to capture them in front of the vibrant graffiti art in the West Loop. Their personalities and love for each other is nothing short of vibrant.
Amanda told me she loves Casey’s kind heart and up for anything personality. Casey said Amanda has such a love for adventure and a youthful spirit – she’s always keeping their life fun and eventful.
We had clouds all afternoon, but right when we got started it seemed that the sky opened up and gave us one hell of a sunset. It is ironic, because the same exact thing happened to Amanda when she proposed at La Jolla in California earlier this year. The only thing brighter then the sky, were the smiles plastered on Amanda and Casey’s faces.
From the minute I met these two, I secretly had my fingers and toes crossed that I would get to be a part of their special day. If their wedding day at the W Hotel is even 1/10 as fun as their West Loop engagement session, we’re in for one hell of a day.
