Fall was in it’s prime for this St.James Forest Preserve Engagement Session with Heather and Matt!

I met Heather at @crossfit_alphadog about a year and a half ago. She had on lacrosse shorts and I struck up a conversation with her. Fast forward to me and my big old (pregnant) belly hanging out after class one day, Heather asked where I was delivering and it turns out, she was a nurse for my OBGYN group. “How funny would it be if you were my delivery room nurse!”…..Welp, fast forward to April, and Heather helping to deliver our sweet baby Kate. Having a familiar and warm face in the delivery room was everything. She also gave me that thumbs up for the epidural time which I will forever be in debt to her for.⠀

When I saw on Instagram that Heather and her hubby Matt were engaged, my heart did a leap and I secretly hoped she would reach out so I could capture these two. She did, and we had one of the most fun sessions I’ve ever had at the St.James Forest Preserve in Wheaton followed by some time at Crossfit Alpha Dog in Lombard, Illinois.

Heather is simply put – a BADASS. She’s bubbly and warm, has pure joy in her smile, but she’s also one of the strongest women I know both physically and mentally. Matt is her perfect match. A bit more reserved, kind and with a witty personality to keep up with Heather. ⠀
We had so much fun amongst the leaves and an even better time for our second location….Crossfit Alpha Dog! Saving those goodies for part 2, coming soon!
