Beyond excited to share this insanely fun Southport Corridor Engagement Session!
⠀
I met this gem of a human, Kaitlyn, at an event I was photographing for Phair Hinton Group and have been so in awe of her ever since. She’s a software engineer who is also an insanely talented artist – she creates and sells patterns, sews her own outfits, is a gorgeous illustrator, oh and did I mention she has a book – “Not Your Grandma’s Sewing Guide“. ⠀
⠀
It’s only fitting that this incredible human found another incredible human to do life with – Nick! And how lucky am I that I got to document all the excitement at their Southport Corridor engagement session!?!?!⠀
⠀
Kaitlyn came to me with so many fun elements that she wanted to include in their session. She mentioned last minute that her and Nick had mopeds and I was so excited to incorporate them! Mopeds just make everything more fun, don’t they? We “scooted” & strolled down Southport Corridor, where they just moved in together and made some absolute magic ✨
Nick is a huge Chicago Cubs fan, so we made sure to pop by the infamous Wrigley Field sign. Kaitlyn mentioned she was planning on making a custom dress for this portion of their session, with her inspiration being “A League of Their Own” meets Kate Spade. My jaw dropped when she popped out of the car in the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen – a bow in her flowing blonde hair to match, of course. Also – that darling red polka dot skirt you see – she made that too! Her talent is simply unparalleled.
Kaitlyn’s creative, whimsical, radiant personality is matched by Nick’s relaxed, refined demeanor. It’s easy to see how they compliment each other in so many ways and make just one heck o a match.

I’m so excited for them to tie the knot in IRELAND next year at what is sure to be their most exciting adventure yet 🍀
