Intimate Wheaton Backyard Wedding | Emily & Nick

Emily and Nick’s intimate Wheaton Backyard wedding was my first full day wedding of 2020. My heart and soul really missed these celebrations so much. This year has thrown everyone for a bit of a loop but if there’s one thing that’s true and was more than evident during this joyful day, love is not cancelled. ⠀
⠀
Chicago gave us the perfect fall day. There were bursts of vibrant colors in the trees, warmth but crispness in the air, and the sun was simply beaming overhead. ⠀Emily and Nick are both big fans of Fall and I’m so happy that they had all of the little things that make this season in Chicago unforgettable.

Emily and Nick were relaxed, confident, and happy, so so happy. They flowed through their day with laughter and smiles as big as their hearts.
⠀
They glammed up at a stunning Airbnb in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago with friends and family. We breezed through the West Loop for portraits, and then headed to Emily’s Aunt and Uncle’s charming home in Wheaton for the dreamiest backyard wedding and soiree. It was breathtaking. ⠀
⠀
The music was rich, there was a cozy bonfire burning off to the side, shawl blankets draped over the ladies, a tent lit by string lights, and the hum of laughter filled the air. It was intimate, and special, and just felt so organic. ⠀

Nick looked at me at one point during the day and said, “I know this isn’t what we originally planned, but I think it might be even better“.
⠀
I could not be happier for this one of a kind couple. Nick and Emily I am so humbled you picked me to capture your big day. Congratulations with all of my heart – your adventure is just beginning ✨⠀
