This wedding. As I’m writing this, I’m still feeling the magic that was in the air as Amanda and Casey said I do in front of their closest family and friends during their intimate Publishing House Chicago wedding.
Casey and Amanda were among so many couples this year that had their plans changed from a big old shin dig at The W Hotel, to, as Amanda put it, “two gals, a fireplace, some loved ones, and dranks” at Publishing House Chicago. Their Publishing House Chicago wedding would be followed by a massive slumber party? HECK YES.
They originally had their hearts set on Publishing House, but needed space for a larger guest list. When #covid changed their plans, they came back full circle where their hearts were all along. Funny how life works out that way – Amanda told me. These two ladies, full of spirit, joy and so much happiness, threw one hell of a party, and I was ecstatic that my name and +1 (my camera!) made the guest list
Casey was absolutely radiating in her Made with Love gown from Bella Bleu Bridal. Amanda was beaming, a smile never left her face. The rooms were adorned with candles everywhere you looked and stunning greens from the insanely talented Anjelica from Inflorescence 312. A live piano player – S. Joel Norman – serenaded us with friendly melodies that complimented the laughter in the room. Individual charcuterie boards and champagne from Big Delicious Planet filled up everyone’s bellies. Amanda & Casey said I do just as the sun set.⠀
Apart from the endless tiny details that made this such a special day, was the over-arching happiness, support, and love that you could feel amongst these ladies and their closest friends and family. ⠀
⠀
Amanda & Casey – you are exuberant. You are charming. You are two of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met and my heart was so full getting to be a part of your wedding day. Congratulations with all of my heart.⠀
[…] Publishing House is one of my absolute favorite venues in Chicago. The location is ideal, decor is breathtaking, and the accommodations allow for you to keep whatever celebration you are having, going all night long, especially an Intimate Elopement!Maika and Chris, originally planned to marry at a vineyard in California, and like so many other Covid couples, had to pivot with their plans. I think they both would agree, nothing could have topped their Intimate Publishing House Elopement in Chicago. […]
