Abbi and Dave opted for an alternative minimalist wedding at Greenhouse Loft Chicago. Abbi got ready at an Airbnb down the street from The Thompson Hotel, where Dave was getting ready. Light streamed through a dreamy hallway in the home. I told Abbi this had to be the first look spot—which turned out to be perfection! After a smooth, low-key morning, the couple took photos along the quiet but beautiful Gold Coast street and took a bus to the Lincoln Park South Pond for some wedding party photos. 

Minimalist Wedding Style, Maximal Memories

Abbi and Dave opted for a small ceremony and reception at Greenhouse Loft downtown, complete with lawn games and delicious catering appetizers from Tamale Spaceship (my favorite!) For the reception, seats were intentionally unassigned so friends and family could mix and mingle reunion-style. The warm, festive atmosphere and good company were only made better taco bar, where guests could pick from a few delicious options, followed by mouthwatering churros for dessert. 

Then, for a creative take on wedding favors, each guest took home a box of Girl Scout Cookies for their wedding favor! Brilliant! Not only are the coveted cookies tasty, they found a way to support a local cause on their wedding day. Abbi and Dave took it a step further with an eco-friendly venue that prides itself on sustainability. These two are already making a positive impact moments after saying, “I do!”
