Intimate Dawson Chicago Wedding | Megan & Jimmy

If you have ever been to The Dawson Chicago, then you know the intimate, romantic, and warm vibe that can be felt through out the entire space. From the warm wood tones to industrial features, the farmhouse touches to the modern accents I can’t imagine a more perfect setting to host a wedding. This Dawson Chicago Wedding was certainly one of my favorites yet and I’m so thrilled to share more about Megan and Jimmy’s big celebration.

I feel like so many of these blog posts start out with the same line ” like so many other couples, so and so were forced to postpone their wedding due to covid”. This wedding is no different. Pushed back a year, the time only made the anticipation and moment of “I do” that much sweeter for Megan, Jimmy, and all their friends and family that surrounded them on their big day.

Megan got ready at the stunning Hoxton Hotel where she rocked an absolutely breathtaking gown from Alice in Ivory, complete with a feathery beaded cape. If there was ever a bride who could pull of a feathered cape on her wedding day, it’s Megan. Megan and Jimmy, once Lincoln Square residents, had their first look at Winnemac Park, a favorite for them and their pup who made a dapper appearance in quite a few of their photos.

Their ceremony was held outside at the Dawson Chicago courtyard. It was filled with personal touches, plenty of emotion, and even a loud cheer from the bar down the street (football season, am I right?). After they made it official, the couple enjoyed dinner under the stars al fresco with their guests. The night ended on the dance floor upstairs at the Dawson Chicago.
