I feel like I somehow blinked and I’m finding myself at the end of an absolutely incredible year. A year that was filled with so many wonderful couples who entrusted me with capturing their memories for 2019. As I close out my second year of being in business full time, I wanted to highlight 10 of my favorite images from this year’s Chicago weddings.

No matter what type of Chicago wedding I am capturing, there is one main thing that is most important to me – and that is capturing how it felt at that exact moment in time. I want to be able for my wedding couples to look back on their big day and be flooded with the emotions, the feels, the sounds, the smells – all of these things help to tell the story of their wedding day.

Below, find 10 of my favorite Chicago wedding photos from this year, and a brief sentence or two about the photo!

I am technically cheating with this one, since it was a Vail, Colorado wedding. However, you can see the excitement on Josh and his groomsmen’s faces. They were a group of carefree goofballs that made the entire day so unbelievably fun!
I told Kevin to whisper the biggest reason he was excited to marry Molly that day. Her face just says it all. I have no idea what he said but I do know, it was so special to her.
My favorite moment of almost all weddings is taking 10 minutes to sneak out of the reception for sunset photos. The couple is wed, the pressure is off, and they get to celebrate, just like Liz and Sal did here, as just husband and wife.
The sun bursting through the windows at Salvage One for Drew and Chelsea’s wedding was absolutely stunning. I just love how it bounces off of Chelsea’s smirk here as she breathes in the moment.
Picking a favorite from Natalie and Ed’s Loft on Lake wedding was challenging because Natalie lit up every single picture that we took. Her smile is contagious and passionate and you can just see all of the happiness in the world in her face.
The two most beautiful brides I’ve ever laid eyes on for this Warehouse 109 wedding. Even though I was all up in their faces and under their veils, it was as if I wasn’t even there, it was just Lauren and Amy.
Laura and Kyle got married at in Laura’s childhood home’s back yard in Glen Ellyn. The whole day was relaxed, intimate, and filled with the people most special to the couple. They were relaxed, and so present in every moment, every laugh, every word of the day.
DAD’S. YOU GET ME EVERY TIME. Caileigh’s was no exception when he saw his little girl for the first time at Revel Motor Row. You can just feel his pride in that embrace.
Cate and her sisters. Such an incredible bond, and the sweetest getting ready moments, together at the Allegro Hotel.
And to round my 2019 favorite Chicago wedding images out, Beau and MC sharing their private vows before their intimate reception at The Dawson.

I look at all of these images and am filled with so much pride and joy for all involved. It was an absolute honor sharing these moments with so many loves in 2019 and I can’t wait to strap my cameras on me and do it all over again in 2020.

Happy New Year, friends!
