I ended my 2019 season with the biggest hug from my darling bride Cate, and the warmest heart at this incredible Bottom Lounge Chicago Wedding.⠀
⠀
The entire day was just plain wonderful. I met Cate last year when I second shot a wedding she was a bridesmaid in. She was the LIFE of the party and had me laughing the entire wedding. When she reached out about photographing her own wedding, I couldn’t be more excited. Life of the party brides are my kind of brides, especially those with the biggest hearts.⠀
⠀
I got to know her and Dan even more at their engagement session this Summer where they frequently busted out dancing, couldn’t stop laughing, and ended their session with Cate throwing Dan over her shoulder.⠀
The couple got ready at the Allegro Hotel (actually in the same room I stayed in for my own wedding!). I loved documenting the sweet moments between Cate, her twin, and her older sister as they got her ready for the day – it was by far my favorite portion of the day. Cate + Dan had an emotional first look at the top of the grand stairs at the Hotel and everyone around could just feel the moment between them, it was so special. We took bridal portraits around the stunning spaces in the hotel and then headed to the Bottom Lounge for the main event, and a night spent dancing and celebrating.
⠀
Every little detail was so unique to the couple. From the stunning bouquets with flowers Cate made out of books, to the perfume Dan gifted Cate for the big day, to the beautiful ceremony backdrop was filled with romance and a touch of magic. ⠀
⠀
They laughed, they danced, they loved on all the friends and family that filled the Bottom Lounge, and the new Mr. and Mrs. Presslak didn’t stop smiling the entire night. ⠀
⠀
Congratulations Cate + Dan, you guys are just the B E S T!⠀
