Oh, my friends, I’m almost at a loss of words for this one. A few months back, my gal pal Sharris from Canvas Wed started posting inspiration pictures for a retro, 60’s themed wedding styled shoot, and I immediately bombarded her with messages that if she needed a photographer, she should definitely count me in. You might remember the Bridal Party Meets Tea Party shoot I did with her back in May. This was the first time we worked together, and the day that sealed our creative soul sister deal for me. When the email came that it was a “go” and would I like to be involved, a may or may not have just sent an email back saying “YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES”.
Being such a lover of the unique spins people put on their weddings, I love capturing the out of ordinary, the personal touches, the things that make your wedding, well yours. This retro shoot was filled to the b r i m with so much thought, detail, and impeccable style, and was an absolute dream to capture. Setting aside my love for the fall color palette (hello mustard yellow, teal, and maroon!) there were so many little accents that made this shoot so dreamy – from the amazing cake, complete with wooden duck toppers from ECBG Studio, to the i n s a n e (seriously insane) florals from InFlorEscence, hair and makeup by the very talented Devin Sutter and Heather Busulovich THE SCOOTER (yes, a real vintage scooter), and we can’t forget about that dress, oh my goodness that Love Lives Here Luca dress ✨
I could go on and on (and on and on and on and on), but I’ll let the images do some of the talking 😉
A H U G E shoutout to all of the amazing vendors who made up this shoot! I am still in awe of this incredible community and how talented and wonderful the people I get to keep meeting and working with are!
